Without them, we would have no electricity, which keeps the lights on in our homes, schools and many of the other places we visit daily.

When you flick a light switch in your house or use your computer at school, the electricity is generated by machines that work because of magnets. A steel and magnets can keep producing electricity for many years if taken care of and replaced promptly when necessary. This is crucial to make sure we have always a constant power supply for our houses and communities.
In the future we might get magnets for generators that are more efficient than ever before while being lighter, stronger and generating even more electricity. We have to consider the way that we go after our energy can influence the planet and for other beings who will be living on this planet once you are no longer here.
